Omega Vintage Watches: A Collector’s Dream

In this Insight we’re indulging our love for Omega Vintage Watches.

Whether you’re a watch collector, watch lover or simply someone who likes a quality watch, vintage watches have something special about them. I always get a buzz every time we get one in stock as I just love the history and provenence attached to an old watch.

Why Vintage?

Technology has massively changed the design and production of watches.  Luxury watches produced 20+ years ago will have mostly been handmade by highly skilled watchmakers featuring high quality mechanical movements and intricately detailed case work. It’s fair to say these watches were built to last – which is why, if cared for properly, there are some lovely examples still around today!

Vintage watches will often have designs distinct to their era. Whether it’s the Art Deco elegance of the 1920’s, the bold tool watches of the 1950’s, or the minimalist dress watches of the 1960’s, each decade offers something different. Some vintage watches mark significant moments of historical importance, others hold celebrity notoriety and a few are from limited production runs – all of which can make them both rare and desirable.

Here are 7 of the most important Omega Vintage Watches of all time and if you’re lucky we might even have some in stock
