This Rolex 16710 GMT Master II was made in 2004 and as such is one of the later 16710s, made with the Superluminova dial and hands. Just three years later the model was discontinued.
We have always known that the classic Rolex GMT Master was a definite appreciating asset and prices have gone up and up recently. Real 'Safe Queen' NOS or even unworn watches come along from time to time but I don't think we'll ever see another much under £17,000. Not only are these watches becoming really costly, there's a question about how wearable some of them are.
If you're looking for an all original Rolex GMT Master II Full Set that you can comfortably wear and not worry about too much then this is the watch you've been looking for - it's a really great watch and it's not a Safe Queen that you daren't breathe on.
Just tested by Rolex & Omega certified watch specialists Michlmayr & Co and is running within COSC spec.
